GeriatRx Foundation

The GeriatRx Foundation was created to expand access to medication safety and deprescribing education for older adults and underserved communities.

We believe no family should struggle alone to understand complex medication regimens, prevent avoidable harm, or navigate polypharmacy without guidance. Through workshops, health fairs, caregiver education, and direct support services, the Foundation works to close the gap between clinical expertise and community access. Medication safety plays a critical role in preserving mobility, balance, brain health, and long-term independence.

Our mission is simple: reduce medication-related harm and empower families with the knowledge and tools to make informed decisions about their health.

Our Why

We created the GeriatRx Foundation after seeing the same pattern again and again — older adults managing long medication lists without a structured review, caregivers unsure which questions to ask, and preventable side effects mistaken for new conditions.

Medication-related harm is common, costly, and often avoidable. Unsafe medication use can directly impact mobility and independence, increasing fall risk and preventable decline. Yet access to comprehensive medication optimization and deprescribing support is limited for many families.

We have provided education, workshops, and consultations at no cost because the need is real and urgent. The Foundation exists to ensure medication safety is not dependent on income, awareness, or access to specialized care.

We believe thoughtful medication review should be standard, not exceptional. We are committed to building communities where older adults age safely, with clarity and dignity.

What We Do

We work to reduce preventable medication-related harm in our communities.

Through education, advocacy, and sponsored clinical support, we equip older adults and caregivers with the tools to understand medications, ask informed questions, and make safer decisions. We also recognize that safe medication use supports safe movement, mobility, and aging with confidence.

Our initiatives include:

• Community-based medication safety workshops
• Aging-friendly health fairs focused on prevention
• Caregiver education and advocacy training
• Sponsored deprescribing and medication optimization services for families in need

We focus on clarity, prevention, and measurable impact — ensuring that medication safety becomes proactive, not reactive.

How You Can Support

Your support directly funds education, prevention, and sponsored medication optimization services for older adults in need.

Whether you are an individual donor or a corporate partner, your contribution helps us expand access to safer aging.

Sponsorship Impact Levels

  • Community Supporter — $1,500

Sponsors one older adult to receive a full deprescribing review, precision testing, and follow-up support.

  • Wellness Partner — $3,500

Funds a community-based medication safety workshop for caregivers and clinicians.

  • Healthy Aging Champion — $7,500

Supports deprescribing and medication optimization for five seniors in need.

Every contribution, large or small, moves us closer to making deprescribing the standard of care, not the exception.

Our Commitment to Transparency

We are committed to measurable, community-centered impact. As the GeriatRx Foundation grows, we will publish annual updates outlining families served, workshops delivered, and medication-related harm prevented.

Under our fiscal sponsorship agreement, donations are received and administered by The Breathe Experience Foundation in support of GeriatRx Foundation programming. Contributions fund medication safety consultations, community education, and outreach that protect older adults and support safe movement, mobility, and independence.

Your support is not just a donation. It is an investment in safer aging.
